Victoria Secret Pink Nourishing Body Wash

This issue we have decided to look at new organic product lines to the market. Interestingly, there has been much reporting in various online news and blog sites discussing new Victoria Secret Pink range of products marketed as “organic”. This is fascinating to NSA that a massive conglomerate such as Victoria Secret could be going Green!

We enthusiastically searched the Victoria Secret website looking for this organic line and the ingredients of the products of course to substantiate their claim. What we found was no mention of “their new organic line” (Victoria Secret Pink) on their website and certainly no disclosure of ingredients in any of the products. However, this reported “organic line” has received much exposure and kudos (amazingly) all over beauty pages on the net for “greening up”.

After thorough research, NSA has been able to uncover the ingredients of some of the Victoria Secret Pink products. There is nothing organic about these products! The “organic line” was a fantastic marketing lure stating ‘go green, think pink’ but unfortunately completely unsubstantiated. The terms ‘natural’ and ‘organic’ have become extremely over-used and it is very difficult to know the truth. However, if you can find the ingredient list (which, by law, should be listed on every product available for purchase), you have a good chance of determining if a product is as ‘natural’ or ‘organic’ as it claims to be.

The ingredients of one of the products from the Pink line, Nourishing Body Wash is listed below. Based on the list provided on the actual product, not even the Shea Butter is organic as it is not listed as such. Further, this product lacks certification from any third party such as the USDA (United States Department of Agriculture) or the ACO (Australian Certified Organic) for certified organic ingredients. Therefore, NSA concludes that this product is completely un-organic.

A full product review has been conducted with the complete results available here. This review is a thorough and detailed analysis of Victoria Secret’s claim that the Nourishing Body Wash is ‘natural’, ‘green’ and ‘healthy’. There is compelling evidence to support NSA’s conclusion that this product is in fact un-natural, un-green and definitely un-healthy for your body. We invite you to read this review and let us know what you think.
