After years of using petroleum based lip balms from Vaseline and getting that sticky aftertaste it is refreshing to feel the difference of a certified organic lip balm. Though, to tell you the truth I am just happy not to be smearing my lips with petroleum.
Not Addictive
Another benefit is not having to reapply the Miessence lip balm every hour or so as I used to with Vaseline. I think this is because the petroleum based lip balms actually dehydrate your lips. Some research indicates they are also highly addictive. I can certainly vouch for this.
With the benefit of hindsight I have to ask this question. Why would anyone in their right mind put a toxic petroleum based derivative on there lips? It really is lunacy to put this stuff on such a sensitive part of our face.
