| Review Kiss My Face facial moisturizer is one of the worst skin care products in the facial moisturizer category. This product's official name is Kiss My Face Peaches & Creme Moisturizer. Positives? There is nothing positive about this product according to the ingredient label. There are a few organic ingredients thrown in for token value, though these are outweighed by the toxins. The Kiss My Face facial moisturizer does not meet any natural ingredient parameter. It is not certified organic and it uses synthetic chemicals that have been tested on animals. The fact that it is not certified organic - obviously - means that there is a possibility the product contains G.M.O - genetically modified organisms - and pesticides. Negatives The Kiss My Face facial moisturizer contrary to the image portrayed does contain toxic chemicals. Kiss My Face are the masters of cloaking their toxic products in attractive window dressing. Some of the ingredients have never been tested for safety according to the C.I.R.- Cosmetic Ingredient Review. The chemicals that are certified by the C.I.R have been tested on animals. This is contrary to the false claims made on its website, where they claim to be against animal testing without admitting that some of their ingredients are animal tested. Cancer Causing Chemical Kiss My Face Peaches & Creme Moisturizer scores in 9 of 12 toxic parameters. This product contains a known human carcinogen - GLYCOLIC ACID. This chemical damages the skin and increases the risk of skin cancer. So much for skin care! Cancer Linkage Also of concern the Kiss My Face facial moisturizer contains two toxic very ingredients -HYDROGENATED LECITHIN and tocopherol acetate. These chemicals have been linked to cancer and other health problems. Penetration Enhancers Also present is a penetration enhancer- HYDROGENATED LECITHIN. Penetration agents work to infiltrate the skin membrane - i.e. penetration enhancer - and in doing so may increase exposures to carcinogens. Untested Chemicals Kiss My Face facial moisturizer contains 24 chemicals that have not been assessed for safety in cosmetic formulas by the C.I.R. These chemicals are: Aloe Vera Gel, FRAGRANCE, Allantoin, Citric Acid, Sweet Almond Oil, Jojoba Oil, Sunflower Seed Oil, Lemon grass Extract, Soybean Oil, Tartaric Acid, Safflower Oil, Olive Oil, Shea Butter, Sugar Cane Extract, Mixed Fruit Extracts of LACTIC ACID, Emulsifying Wax (Coconut Derived Emulsifier), Coco-caprylate/Caprate (Coconut Derived Emollient), GLYCERIN (Vegetable Emollient), Squalane (Olive Oil Derived Moisturizer), Peach Leaf Extract, Orange Blossom Extract, Citrus Pectin Extract, Grapefruit Seed Extract, Sodium Hydroxymethylglycinate (Vegetable Derived Preservative). Parabens Kiss My Face facial moisturizer also contains parabens, chemicals that have been recently linked to breast cancer in women. This study was reported by the BBC Sunday 11 January 2004. Recommendation My advice is this, DO NOT believe the hype and false claims of the Kiss My Face brand. This product is just one example across their line of how they hoodwink their trusting customers into believing they are natural, or in their case organic. A bold faced lie. Stating that your product is organic while it contains animal tested cancer linking chemicals degrades the very meaning of organic. This company is another one that has hijacked the natural and organic terms to jump on the natural bandwagon. The ingredient listing speaks louder than any rhetoric on a company website. If you use Kiss My Face Peaches & Creme Moisturizer now I strongly urge you to get rid of it. Don't fill the coffers of a company that KNOWINGLY uses toxic ingredients in their so called natural skin care product lines. Vote with your wallet and hit the company where it hurts. Maybe the Kiss My Face corporation in time will learn not to put their customer's health at risk. If you use or continue to use this product you may suffer health effects in the long term, according to the F.D.A. and C.I.R. toxic estimates. Alternatives There are legitimate alternatives to toxic products like these. You can make your own moisturizer products using natural ingredients.
