Introduction Aubery Body Wash is rated as a semi-natural skin care product in the body wash category. This product's official name is Aubrey Organics Herbal Liquid Body Soap. The Aubery Natural Body Wash uses mostly natural ingredients according to the ingredient listing. Positives Aubrey Organics is to be commended for using mostly natural ingredients in their body wash, as well as their cruelty free policy. In addition the company policy stated on their website is to use no genetically modified organisms, no pesticides and no synthetic chemicals. Negatives The major drawback is that Aubrey Organics products are not certified organic by any credible independent body. This is contrary to the claim of being certified organic stated on their website. Now, this is a fine point but it is important that this be cleared up. Certified Organic or Not? Aubery Organics state on their website that they are certified organic by GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices) with no other documentation to back it up. Regardless, the GMP is not recognized as a certifying authority like USDA or ACO. However, Aubery contradicts itself by then saying that they are having every ingredient certified one by one. Penetration Enhancer and Harmful Impurities The final proof that Aubery is not certified organic is on the ingredient label. This product contains MENTHA PIPERITA (PEPPERMINT) OIL, this chemical is a penetration enhancer with harmful impurities that has not been assessed for safety by the FDA.These certifications are important because they guarantee organic purity and integrity to the end user, you. Real Certified Organic Alternatives Aubrey Organics stating it's policy as no g.m.o, no pesticides and no synthetic chemicals while impressive is impossible to independently verify. They also state that it takes a long time to certify all their ingredients, implying that it is next to impossible. This is not true as other companies such as Miessence have already certified organic their skin care range. Recommendation Your decision to use this product would depend on what your goals are. If you are looking for a product containing mostly natural ingredients then Aubery Body Wash could be for you. However, if you are someone who likes the peace of mind of using certified organic skin care with all the guarantees that come with it then I would refer you to top rating natural body wash.
